20-day ‘Brain Break’ challenge

Overview

Learn to create opportunities to unplug and pause; for better brain functioning, clarity & performance.

This 4 week (20 consecutive day) series trains habit + the ability to take regular brain breaks.

Choose from 1, 2 or 4 workshops (30-60min) to teach your team, hold them accountable and deal with any challenges as they arise.

Then it’s up to you to get regular.

The goal: Your self-sufficiency.

Content

Ø The importance of Brain Breaks – The brain works smarter when rested. It gives other brain regions the chance to connect for learning and memory.

Ø What to do, how to & when – SImple and effective practices, easily implementable into daily schedules.

Ø Practical workshops 30-60min
- Experiential learning.

Learning outcomes

Ø Understand why brain breaks are essential to mental health – ways to improve cognitive performance and wellbeing.

Ø Have a group experience - We will take 1 or 2 formal 5min Brain Breaks together.

Ø Getting started & building momentum – The continuity of practice, is the key to success.

Fitness For The Mind (FFTM)

Overview

This flagship 8 week program introduces practical techniques which can be easily integrated into already busy schedules. It builds knowledge of a framework that helps to look after your teams most precious and valuable resource – their mind.

Various counter-intuitive ideas are explored including speeding up by slowing down. Participants are taught tools that increase attention spans and improve wellbeing.

Content

Ø Dealing with distractions & natural posture exercise – A framework to help deal with mind wandering.

Ø Mindfulness – Raising awareness of your own mental, emotional and physical state to create positive mental habits.

Ø Spot meditations – How to incorporate practice during work.

Ø Formal & Informal techniques.

Outcome

Ø Coping mechanisms dealing with busyness, distractions, pressure & information overload.

Ø Clarity of thought - for the improvement of communication and decision making abilities

Ø Increases in grey matter associated with learning, memory & emotion regulation.

Ø More calm, focus and clarity - for improved performance

Pilot Programs

Overview

This 10 week program offers FFTM + 2 themed workshops introducing the program and concluding it in a fun and uplifting way. It also includes 10 x 10 minute guided audio recordings to support practice in between sessions.

Ø Meditation as a ‘Meta’ skill - one that improves all other skills.

Ø Coping mechanisms to deal with busyness, pressure and information overload.

Ø Brain connectivity in areas associated with learning, memory and emotion regulation.

Ø Triggering more calm, focus & clarity - for improved decision making and creativity.

Outcome

Ø Habit creation - 10 weeks of consistent practice with a facilitator in a group.

Ø Being able to meditate - both formally and during the work day to maintain awareness and equanimity.

Ø Toolkit of techniques - leveraging the taught methods for constant improvement.

Express

Overview

This 3 week program presents foundational and accessible techniques, which can be adapted to both the individual and business team. It explores practical methods for reducing stress, becoming balanced and building awareness. Fundamentals of how these mental training techniques can be used as a way to improve performance and wellbeing are explored.

Content

Ø Attention Training – Improving focus & concentration. Training mental presence.

Ø Managing Stress & Pressure – How stress impacts performance. Ability to let go of stress in a short period of time.

Ø Successes and Challenges – Practical ways to better navigate work and life’s ups and downs to develop a balanced mind.

Outcome

Participants will be able to: 

Ø Practice simple and effective techniques – on their own for when the need to or want to.

Ø Continue the development after the program is completed.

Ø Ability to let go of stress in a short period of time
